Biography

My story is quickly told.

I was born in the German state Saarland. Already in my early childhood days I was said to have a talent for athletics. (I had been raised to be a professional swimmer and until today, my backbone is visible in every way). But the truth is, there has been really one thing on my mind: Music! ( something I have without a doubt in common with many of my peers) after all, my biography reveals names from the good-ole days of the German music industry): Freddy Quinn, Jack White , Gregor Rottschalk and DJ Bobo Producer Axel Breitung.
I was discovered by the well-known producer Jack White. Since I was still a child and under the supervision of Freddy Quinn, I recorded children’s’ songs in the Polydor studio in Hamburg. Singing, piano and guitar lessons were also part of the schedule.

In 1985, in the midst of the Italian Disco Fever, there it was, my first „major“ production: Music and Motion (Lonely Lovers), recorded in a small studio in Berlin. The song quickly became very popular in night clubs however, it never became a real hit. The result was the perfectly normal downhill spiral of a high-flying dream and the usual culprits. Stupid record company! Producer not committed! No promotion! No success!

The consequence: I packed my bags and bid "farewell to the Fatherland“!

I thought to myself, Switzerland has always been a millionaire’s refuge, so why not move there, even if I’m not one? I landed in St. Moritz and worked as a hotel administrator in various Five Star hotels (yes, I did learn a „real“ profession!). Then it was time for a change of scene. I lived in LA for two years, met the Bee Gees, and despite the fact of not being a groupie, I accompanied the band on their tour through Europe. Do you want to bet that thousands of people would have preferred this over a jackpot in the lottery?
After that, I put my music career on hold for the time being! I had to live off something, and this was before the days of social welfare.

I thought, „Lufthansa doesn’t sound too bad“.

In addition to my frequent flying, I took a distance learning course in business studies and marketing.
In LA I studied at UCLA.

I came back to Germany two days later. Where I still am today. But even twenty years later, I am still living my dream, which is music:
Last spring, Gregor Rottschalk dug out the old 24 track tapes from the past: Time has taken its toll on them. But technology solves all problems. Like Hansel and Gretel, tapes in such condition are placed into the oven and after 72 hours can be played again - however only once. The individual tracks are digitized and voila.
.......the howling sound was unbearable! (In other words, pitch fluctuations are very hard to equalize). What to do in a case like this? This calls for a magician, such as Axel Breitung. (Gregor still knew him from the good old days with Harald Juhnke where he was involved in a couple of projects) What he managed to do for DJ Bobo just had to be successful here as well: A new playback, the original voice on top of it and now you are presented with Music and Motion 2009.

My next project will be to support the Michael Jackson Children Foundation and the Michael Jackson Tribute portrait in Germany as a spokeswoman.
My other projects include a Buddhist children’s home for girls in Sri Lanka which was launched after the Tsunami hit the area and because I really do care for children.

Do it like I do:
Don’t dream your life!
Live your dream!
